If you had only known...

Gen X women are struggling in silence because they desperately want something that's hard to talk about.

It’s not a wanting for the typical stuff: the career, the money, the relationship, the family, the house, the things…that’s all been done.

This WANTING never seems to go away because it seems to be planted INSIDE, embedded too deep to be identified.

Now.....I'm going to make a bold statement:

This WANTING…….. is the desire to finally, intimately, undeniably, unconditionally KNOW, TRUST and LOVE ourselves AS WE TRULY ARE.

We want to know what it's like to live fully, successfully, and happily, without feeling like we have to try so hard all the time.

 We have a visceral sense that there’s more to us than we’ve been told, or have believed about ourselves.

We suspect there’s a truer version of “I” underneath the version that walks around the world, giving ourselves away…that version that:

  • says one thing, but feels something else
  • makes decisions based on other people’s opinions, attitudes, agendas, or their own knee-jerk reactions, instead of wisdom, experience & intuition.
  • becomes overwhelmed by self-defeating thoughts & emotions
  • seems to run on doubt, fear and performance anxiety…..even while looking “fine” from the outside.

The hardest part of this WANTING is the loneliness; it’s hard to talk about something that you don’t fully understand, or to admit that you’re a successful adult who can secretly feel like a confused kid in certain situations.

 

But I’m here to tell you that: 

  • Your WANTING is real, valid, sacred, and not to be denied.
  • Understanding and serving that WANTING is the singular purpose of the rest of your Life
  • Fulfilling this purpose CAN be done…it requires willingness, new information and tribal support

If you’re still reading, I’m assuming your willingness.

As for the new information, I will be sharing 1 powerful purposeful piece of information every day for the next 5 days (fyi: future emails will dive right in)

Here we go:

  1. Feelings & emotions are ENERGY. 

 

Energy is infinite, cannot be created or destroyed, and cannot be still; even solid objects are moving, albeit it at a frequency level that gives the impression of solid stagnancy.

When you block feeling/emotional energy from being fully experienced by your mind and body, the energy just loops back on itself, allowing continued motion that’s “stuck” IN PLACE.

That energy doesn’t get to be fully experienced, processed, and transmuted…it doesn’t get to do what energy wants to do: flow.

Instead, that loop of unprocessed energy builds in density (tension) and finds a release from its loop any chance it gets: 

Remember that time you totally overreacted to being cut off, or critiqued, or misunderstood, or told “No”….when you lost control of your emotions, and felt ridiculous & ashamed after the fact, because you were so reactionary….because you acted more like a scared, angry kid, and less like an intelligent, confident grown-up?

9 times outta 10, those moments are the result of bottled-up, unprocessed energy that you were unwilling to feel when it first presented.

You disregarded an energetic law, and suffered the consequences.

If someone could have told you that feelings/emotions aren’t personal, but are actually forms of energy, that follow predictable energetic LAWS, you:

  • Might not have been so scared of your feelings & emotions in the first place
  • Could have processed them in REAL TIME
  • Gained all the insight they had to offer, without the unnecessary build-up that only served to make you feel out of control and ashamed.
  • Developed unconditional self trust

 

Opportunity: 

Today, watch for how you PHYSICALLY respond to any stress, fear, anger, or sadness that comes into your awareness today: what does it physically FEEL like in your body? Where in your body do you experience it? Does it have a temperature or texture? What does the ENERGY of those emotional states FEEL like?

Extra credit: what does experiencing those sensations make you do? Can you OBSERVE what thoughts, words and/or actions you do following experiencing that sensation?

But even if you don’t, I urge you to take that WANTING…that drive to know, trust and love yourself unconditionally, as you move through this 2nd act….take it seriously. 

Life is not meant to be a slog, a drain, a monotonous “meh” of “I’m fine” - ness. 

And deep down, you know it.

Do the work that needs to be done, to give yourself the Life that is congruent with your spirit.
